According to sources, the renovation carried out for US$2.7 million ensured the restoration of the original sheen of the temple, its gopurams and the rajagopuram. The effect of the massive renovation work taken up by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR & CE) department is visible. The temple, where Lord Vishnu graces his devotees in a reclining posture, has been illuminated ahead of the Maha Samprokshanam on September 9.<\/p>\n
The temple authorities have made all arrangements for the Yaga Sala puja at the 1,000-pillared mandapam.
