Jill Boag-Munroe of the UK&#8217;s governing body of yoga, the British Wheel, has studied and taught yoga for 20 years. &#8220;I&#8217;ve heard and read of American variations, which use machines to push the body into position, but we would not recommend it,&#8221; she told this paper. &#8220;Powerflow&#8221; yoga, which is popular with Thurman and Turlington, is of particular concern. Experienced London yoga teachers have already gone on record to describe the physical injuries they sustained during the vigorous &#8220;taster&#8221; workouts recently provided by two of American yogis.
