At one time Sunil was wrapped up in a life of parties and hangovers. However, in 1996 he took a two-year break from the fast track he was on and pilgrimaged to ashrams in Rishikesh and Hardwar. He returned to the fashion industry in 1998 with new ideas and enthusiasm. &#8220;I wanted to give fashion a new meaning. Clothes, after all, are a vehicle of communication. I decided to go spiritual and incorporated religious imagery onto fashion garments,&#8221; says Mehra.
