Held from 8 to 12 July at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Green Fields, the Pacific Sanskrit Conference attracted 354 participants aged between seven and 54. A standout feature of the conference was the participation of 292 children who have been studying Sanskrit and memorising verses through ongoing educational programs. Their learning has been supported by a network of 64 teachers and volunteers, highlighting the community effort behind the initiative.<br><br>The conference also reflected the expansion of online Sanskrit education. Since 2023, the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute has offered virtual Sanskrit and Satsang courses taught by faculty from India and Australia. Many of those educators attended the Adelaide gathering, giving students the opportunity to meet their teachers face to face after learning online. Sessions throughout the conference examined the role of the guru in Hindu tradition and explored the relationship between God and the ideal disciple.
