Translated by Dr. S.P. Sabharathnam Sivacharyar, the scripture instructs the sadhaka who knows his death is approaching to worship Siva, perform fire ritual, regulate his breathing and senses and enter deep meditation upon the Divine within the heart.

Through concentration and yogic practice, the adept draws consciousness upward from the heart through the head to the brahmarandhra at the crown. The text describes the departing soul passing beyond the material and subtle realms, assuming a radiant subtle form and finally entering into Siva. Attending devotees are then instructed in caring for the body and performing rites while contemplating the departed soul as identical with the Supreme.

Source: https://www.hinduismtoday.com/magazine/july-august-september-2026/a-yogic-departure/

KAUAI, HAWAII, July 1, 2026 (Hinduism Today): An excerpt from the Raurava Agama describes how an accomplished Saiva practitioner should,…

[1

post-23437","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news
["GET
