Pagal decided to undertake these tapas in Ayodhya near the Sri Ram Janmabhhomi-babri Masjid site and has vowed to keep standing until the proposed Ram Temple has been constructed. Despite cold temperatures at night and sleeping while holding onto the branch of a Pakar tree for support, Pagal Das is unrelenting and calls his quest a peaceful agitation.
