The change is connected with PepsiCo&#8217;s US$13.4 billion acquisition of Quaker Oats Co. next year. This will make her the highest-ranking Indian-born woman in corporate America. Born in India, Nooyi, 44, came to the United States in 1978 to attend Yale University&#8217;s Graduate School of Management. Since joining PepsiCo six years ago, she has been directly involved in all major strategy moves the company has made. Nooyi, maintains a &#8220;puja&#8221; (Hindu prayer) room in the Greenwich, Connecticut home she shares with her husband and two daughters.
