Delivering his speech at a function to give away the fifth Dr. Durgabai Deshmukh award, Vajpayee said, &#8220;More than 1.5 million cases of female feticide have taken place in the last ten years. This is a blot on our society. Even in some economically advanced states, the number of female population is decreasing as compared to the male population.
