It would be more accurate to state that it is heavily fundamentalist Christian, or characterized by biblical literalism. I live in New Mexico&#8230;.close enough to the Bible Belt to be part of it. Though I am a Christian, I feel overwhelmed, stifled, saddened and, yes, disgusted by many aspects of this brand of Christianity which has refused to evolve in response to God&#8217;s clear calling!
