The Executive Director will work closely with members of HAF&#8217;s Board of Directors and Executive Council to advance the goals of HAF by representing HAF in conferences &#038; in interactions with various institutions, developing policy &#038; projects, nurturing important relationships, &#038; raising money.<\/p>\n<p>The details are as follows: location:  Washington, D.C.; salary:  $40,000 &#8211; $60,000 plus benefits, negotiable based on qualifications. Required experience and skills: bachelors degree or above; prior experience in business administration or management is preferred; knowledge of Hinduism and current Hindu issues; excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; superior English writing and speaking skills; must have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at various levels; Must be Internet savvy and proficient in MS Office, particularly in creating PowerPoint presentations; must be flexible with scheduling and willing to travel.<\/p>\n<p>The duties and expectations are: responsible for daily operations, programs, and administration; work closely with the board of directors and executive council to develop a range of strategic relationships; foster communication and links with the media, academia, NGOs, and within offices and agencies of the federal and state government; fundraise from multiple sources including membership, large donors, corporate sponsors, government grants, and private foundations; Initiate contact with potential donors as well as maintain relationships with current donors; create press releases; attend various conferences as HAF representative and spokesperson.
