Sri Sri, whose four-day visit to Sri Lanka ended Sunday, stated this while answering a question at a public event in the northern town of Jaffna Friday, a statement from his office said. Sri Sri didn’t reveal further details. Prabhakaran heads the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), which signed a Norway-brokered ceasefire agreement with the Sri Lankan government in 2002. The tenuous peace is now under strain due to killings and counter-killings. Sri Sri was in Jaffna to heal the trauma of the victims of the ethnic conflict, the statement said. “I have come here to take away all your worries and problems. I want to see a smile that never fades on your face,” Sri Sri was quoted as telling thousands who turned up to listen to him. Sri Sri was given a rousing welcome by thousands of people, including 4,000 school children, when he arrived in Jaffna Friday. It is for the first time a spiritual leader with a universal appeal and millions of followers worldwide has visited Jaffna since the ethnic conflict erupted over two decades ago.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
inwww.rediff.com COLOMBO, SRI LANKA, April 9, 2006: Renowned spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of the Art of Living,,…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-6016","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6016","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=6016"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/6016\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=6016"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=6016"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.hinduismtoday.com\/hpi\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=6016"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
