Over 450 delegates, eminent spiritual leaders, scholars and psychologists from aroud 40 countries, are attending this four day event which is jointly organized by Shruti Foundation, Infinity Foundation and The Association of Transpersonal Psychology. The launching of the Congress was done amidst the chanting of Vedic Mantras.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Spirituality is becoming a normal human being. We need people to learn to know their minds.Elementary psychology should be included in the curricula of schools and colleges. Any problems, wars or conflicts first originate in the mind. Therefore the study of the mind is essential,&#8221; said Sri Sri Shankar.<\/p>\n<p>Delivering his keynote address, Dr. Karan Singh stated, &#8220;Today the problem is that most of the people are thinking and acting like Dhritrashtra, a character of Mahabharata who said&#8221; I know what is right but am not attracted to it. I also know what is wrong but am attracted to it.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The first plenary session of the Congress today dealt with the subject &#8220;The Future Of Spiritual Action In the World&#8221; and those who participated in it included Tibetian scholar Shri Geshe Samten, Head of Delhi&#8217;s R.K.
