According to founder Ajit Adhopia, &#8220;Our entire focus will be on educating our new generation about their cultural and spiritual heritage; it will also offer a forum to our youths to discuss issues that interest them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Adhopia explains that although there are approximately two dozen temples in the Greater Toronto Area, only a few have a regular, structured program for children or youths. &#8220;I fear that our Dharma may not survive in Canada after 2-3 generations&#8230; Our young generation is growing with a very skewed image of their culture and religion as portrayed by the mainstream.&#8221; Because youth have a strong interest in social issues, he sees a youth forum as a very effective way to generate involvement. <\/p>\n<p>Contributing their energies to this task are Shri Kumar Agarwal and Shri Prabhat Kapur, both well- known Hindu community activists, and youth Punit Bakshi, who is handling the computer work.
