He explains, &#8220;Apartments are getting fancier, but we still have a traditional mindset in the way we do up our personal spaces, our pooja ghars. We wanted something contemporary, not hip.&#8221; He has experimented largely with stainless steel, hand-crafting and laser-cutting it; Namo&#8217;s designs are &#8220;clean and minimal&#8221;, in line with recent trends in design.<\/p>\n<p>[HPI note: Hindu scripture such as the Agamas and Vastu Shastras strictly forbids the use of iron &#8212; and therefore, steel &#8212; in shrines and temples.
