The statue was inaugurated by Swami Shankaracharya Madhav Sharanji Maharaj of Badrinath, India, at Sanga, a village situated in the east of Kathmandu. <\/p>\n<p>Located 20-km east of Kathmandu, the statue is part of a complex spread over 400,000 sq feet that houses a 16-room resort, spa, yoga, health club and meditation center. <\/p>\n<p>The statue is made of cement, concrete and iron and is coated with zinc and copper. It depicts Lord Shiva carrying a trishul in his hand while a snake is resting on his shoulder. <\/p>\n<p>Jain has also built a resort in the area which has a children&#8217;s park, restaurant, spa and health centre, yoga and meditation centre.
