DEHRADUN, INDIA: Uttranchal's chief minister Nityananda Swami denied the possibility of the construction of a Jain Temple in Badrinath and said that the sanctity/purity of this religious place would be maintained. He said, "We cannot permit the construction of a Jain temple in Badrinath. By this the purity of this religious place would be destroyed."
