Hinduism Today magazine is a global public service to the family of Hindu faiths, produced by a small monastic community based in Hawaii. The small editorial team produces the magazine for the same reasons that other orders run ashrams, free eye-clinics or orphanages–as a selfless service to the world.

I found your magazine in graduate school in Wisconsin many years ago. I had been reading a lot of magazines. What I saw different about this one is that it has its own sampradaya outlook, there is no question about that, but it is a universally Hindu magazine. It caters for Hinduism, so any Hindu can identify with it. Why? Because you see yourself represented in this magazine at different levels, whatever organization you come from. I’ve discovered in these pages some of the most remote, unknown kinds of things. For example, the Java Hindus: not many of us would know about that, right? I see Hinduism in Mauritius. I see about Hinduism in Trinidad. On occasion a feature about East Africa, South Africa and my own country of Guyana. It is a truly universal Hindu magazine, something that was needed in this world, in the Hindu world, for a long time. As a teacher of teachers, I also regard it as an important resource, even for high school students, to acquire authentic Hindu knowledge. In preparing our students in Guyana for the important Caribbean Examinations Council Exam in London, we have found the What Is Hinduism? text and the sixth grade History of Hindu India book, both from the editors of Hinduism Today, plus the magazine itself, of enormous help.

Hinduism Today magazine is a wonderful, amazing work, a divine work on this Earth. You are doing God’s work. It is the only work promoting, emphasizing and preserving all our Hindu values, ethics, principles, paramparas, sampradayas, all our traditions and customs. I appreciate and admire all of you. Hinduism Today is not only a magazine, it is the face of Hindu culture, tradition and values. I have known Saguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami and Acharya Arumugaswami for a long time. I read Hinduism Today for the first time in the United States, during the 2001 World Peace Millenium Summit, and have been reading it since then. Hinduism Today is striving hard to preserve Hindu sanskars, culture and consciousness., especially the sentiments of all the Sampradayas we have in this country. My best wishes to Hinduism Today.”

Hinduism Today is working as a messenger, a representative of Hinduism to conserve Indian knowledge, Culture and Vedic civilization in the most authentic way. Hinduism Today is the torch bearer of Indian Religion, philosophy, spirituality and culture and showing the way to practice it as a ritual. My best wishes to HT. Keeping the sublimity of our Char Dhams and the great deeds of our ancestors in the highest esteem, HT compares the Hindu religion and culture with other cultures, religions and civilizations of the world. The main objective of our life is to move forward and work hard for a bright tomorrow, always reminding ourselves of our history and rich cultural heritage. This is what Hinduism Today is doing with absolute authenticity. My best wishes are with you. Hinduism is a perfect blend of religion, science and spirituality. May you keep up the good work of promoting it. My blessings and best wishes!

We are very proud of Hinduism Today, whose world-renowned founder is His Holiness Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, a true Saivite. For more than three decades, Subramuniyaswami, a highly enlightened Soul of the West (a Hanuman of Today, a reincarnation of Siva himself) has watered the roots of Hinduism with great zeal, faith, enthusiasm and whole-heartedness. He definitely deserves an All India Special Hindu Award, the first of its kind. My whole-hearted prayers, blessings and congratulations. One can hear the clapping beats of the Hindu hearts for his great commendable services rendered for the upliftment of true values of a race known to the world as Hindus of today.

Hinduism Today is a beautiful magazine. It is a mirror for Sanatana Dharma. You are doing such a great job. We love and respect Hinduism Today so much because through it you introduce so many holy souls to people. It is not just a printed magazine; it gives a sense of all the holy people, holy sages, great souls and their lives, their teachings, to all who love the Sanatana Dharma, which is the Hindu Dharma. Everyone loves Hinduism Today so much, they feel it belongs to their soul. I have been to Hawaii and seen the offices, the beautiful gardens. It is a very sacred place.

I have nothing but superlatives on Hinduism Today. Extraordinary! Distinctive! no, unique! Beautiful! Soulful! Inspiring! Encouraging! Heartening! Hard-hitting! Entertaining! Educational! Up to the minute! Supernatural! Socio-political! Mystical! Global! One feels in each issue that one is actually entering the Hindu world. It has an unmistakable flavor, a combination of freshness and enthusiasm with unbeatable in-the-know-ness!

Because India had this scientific approach in the world of religion, it could practice tolerance and understanding and see the harmony between various paths to the divine. The world today needs this harmonious approach in man’s struggle to realize the divine. Hinduism Today is conveying this message to its readers.
Swami Ranganathananda, President, Ramkrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission
Hinduism Today is international in thought and spiritual sensibility. It presents Hinduism’s new global face. It takes a strategic lead in the effort to overcome the problem of self-alienation and growing illiteracy among the Hindus of their heritage. In the eyes of many Hindus who are concerned with the problems of Hindu renaissance, Hinduism Today is easily the best magazine Hindus have.
Sri Ram Swarup (1920-1998), India’s voice and Hinduism’s friend
